Default Service and dealership

Hi everyone. I just got back from the dealership for annual oil change. I just bought my 2013 last year CPO. They want me to get all these things fixed totaling $12,316. Big ticket items are
40k maintenance $1975
rear brake $1200
Bank 2 valve cover$2995
Dash clock(second hand broke off) $1186
Replace PCM(Power button inoperable) $3523.
I had car for a year. its been driving fine. Im probably going to get rid of it as there is no way I'd pay $12,000 get a vehicle repaired let alone 2013. Your thoughts?

Are you the only customer keeping that dealership afloat? 😏 If you bought this last year CPO than some of those repairs should be covered. I bought my 2013 CS last Halloween and I had the clock fixed under Warranty along with a starter solenoid. Regardless, those prices are insane.

I disagree, those prices seem fair. Sure the total amount is a steep bill but individually those repairs are priced accordingly for a dealership.

Yeah, it seems the clock and PCM - at a minimum - should be covered under CPO.

Bank 2 valve cover? Order one from Suncoast and bolt in on yourself. I can't see how that's $3000! And if it's such a substantial repair, I'd think it's also an item covered under CPO.

Rear brakes are yours, if it's service, but if the calipers need to be replaced, that seems like it'd be a warranty issue, too.

Scheduled maintenance is all you, though.

If replacing the clock (which retails for about $500) takes a tech more than 5 minutes he's milking the job. It appears they're charging about 6 hours labor. This absolutely is covered under CPO.
Bank 2 valve cover? Are they replacing the entire cover? Why? And why isn't this covered under CPO.
PCM - covered under CPO.

If I was you - I'd find a new dealer.

it will be a cold day in hell before I pay the Porsche dealer oil change prices. For about $75 I can do it myself and gives me the opportunity to also check everything under the car. I will pay up for the services I either don’t want to do or can’t do myself. Having an Autel MaxiAP allows me to read any codes I may get and also allows me to reset the oil and other services.

Did you buy it from the dealer CPO? Because if so, it's a 2 year warranty; why would it be expired now?

Those seem very excessive, at least for a few of them. The clock seems ridiculous. Can't you just push the second hand back on? Isn't that a somewhat common occurrence for those to fall off? The brakes and 40k service should be able to be done for significantly less at an indy. Probably close to half, particularly for the 40k service. Not sure what the valve cover is, but that seems ridiculous as well since those normally just leak and that shouldn't be that expense since the parts should be a hundred or two max and a few hours labor. The only one that seems sort or reasonable is the PCM since that seem about what it would cost to replace if you actually have to order a new one from the factory programed to your car. If its just the power button, you might be able to fix it your self, or find someone else that could for very little by finding a used PCM with a donor power button on ebay.

Clock: let hands hit next minute and pull cable on back of clock. Then unscrew counter clock wise, and place hand back on after you flatten it. After fixing, keep towel over your clock when parked.

40k maintenance. Get detailed list of what they want to do. Then do it yourself.

Brakes with all parts are like $300 I think, and if you get them from FCPEURO.COM its warranty for life.

Bank2 valve, are you seeing issues or they just want to replace?

Is PCM broke? Pretty sure there was someone recommended by others who rebuilds these units cheaper than $3k, 1/3 cost.

I am confused as well, why isn’t your CPO warranty for two years and all these items covered under said warranty?
