Default Cayenne 958.2 Production

Does anyone have Porsche production numbers by model for the Cayenne? I've seen this information on the 991 911, but haven't been able to locate it for Cayenne.

Probably because the number is too high for anyone to care....Panoroma publishes sales numbers by model but they don't break it down by trim, you could ask PCA if they have numbers or if they can supply the data. Last month it looked like Cayenne sales were greater than Macan, but Macan sales have always been on top. The SUV numbers are not even close to the sports cars. Porsche sells way more SUV's than sports cars.

Agree on all points. I've been looking for a Turbo S and there don't seem to be many around - just wondering how picky I can be and end up with a car in a reasonable period of time.

Wow...I had no idea the '17 Turbo S was so rare. I purchased mine last fall CPO from Justin at Euroclassics (found the ad here on Rennlist). It's CPO until 12/26 and I absolutely LOVE it! A total beast it sport plus mode with PSE on.

Congrats - you do have a rare car! I just bought a 16 Turbo S - would have preferred a 17 for the upgraded PCM/CarPlay, but the two that I found had premiums of $30k and $40k over the 2016 I bought - while having a very similar option sheet and mileage. I have noticed the warranty start dates on many of the MY 16 Turbo S are later than might be expected, especially based on manufacturing date. For example, my car was built in September of 2015 and sold in July 2016 - for that reason I can see why dealers would be hesitant to order MY 2017 inventory.

Believe it or not, my MY17 did not have Car Play, which I was counting on. I did find an outfit that was able to get it unlocked for a very reasonable price. He has deep experience...PM me if you want the contact info.

So where in vinanalytics is this data located? It saw information on 911s and other models, but I didn't see anything on Cayennes other than the Transyberia.

Find a VIN for a vehicle you'd like more info on - I found examples on CarGuru.com. When you plug in the VIN, it shows your result for options, as well as how many were produced and the sequence of the VIN you entered. Very cool tool.

once again the 958 is underestimated. It matters because the 958 base has the Toureg engine. The s and turbo have the Porsche, 4.8 liter v8. The performance difference between each of the trims is significant. I’ve only seen 2 of my ‘11 958s in a year and a half of owning one so far.

. I think you need a login to see that data. Easy to get, just register.
