In what mode/settings do you drive?
2014 CTTS
Most of the time have suspension in "comfort" mode, ride height at "normal" and Sport mode off. Sometimes hit the "Sport" button if I want to have some fun, know I'll have to drive "dynamically" coming off a stop, etc. Engaging "Sport" button puts suspension in "sport" mode and ride height to "lowered." I hardly ever have suspension in "normal" setting. Have raised ride height a few times and used "off road" mode a few times; have never had the need to lock rear or rear/center differentials.
While ride height and suspension damper settings do have a noticeable impact on ride dynamics, tire inflation pressure has as much of an impact (in my experience). Most of the time my summer wheel/tire combo (Michelin LS3, 295/35-21) is at "partial load" and "comfort" inflation levels. I'm doing a 2K mile road trip soon and recently boosted inflation pressures to "full load" and "standard" inflation levels (to maximize fuel economy and because I noticed center of tires seemed to be wearing less than outer edges). At the higher tire pressures, the difference between "comfort suspension/normal ride height" and "sport suspension/lowered ride height" is much less noticeable than at lower tire pressures.

2013 Turbo here. I use Normal ride height and Normal shock most of the time, I figure Porsche's engineers spent a lot of time trying to find the optimal compromise.
That said, I do put it in Sport mode on a regular basis, I suspect that is how the engineers would like it to drive if economy and comfort were not a consideration

2016 – GTS (PASM/air suspension)
It really depends if I have passengers along, the mood of that day, weather and air quality (j/k). Wish Porsche can give us a way to store these settings.
When driving with wife/kids:
Chassis/Suspension: Normal for majority. Sometimes in Sport.
Ride Heights: Normal/Low (50%; 50%)
Exhaust: Sport Mode (100%)
When driving by myself:
Chassis/Suspension: Sport Plus (highway/smooth road) ; Sport (local)
Ride Heights: Low (100%)
Exhaust: Sport Plus (highway). Sport (local/stop and go)

Normal. I am not a Le Mans driver, nor is the Cayenne a Le Mans race car. Those who drive in the Sport mode, should be driving a 911, not a shoe box on wheels.

This is exactly how I am. I enjoy the aesthetic of the lowered mode, I like the in between ride quality and handling of normal mode, but if someone want to race, or I need to make it between a couple cars in rapid succession, I'm definitely hitting the sport button.
