Offroad Cayenne Build
Have you actually off-roaded in a 958 Cayenne with Arnott front struts?
Argumentative posts *will* be removed.
If you have something to contribute, please do. Hands-on experience is HIGHLY preferred. After all, we can all use Google to find and quote stuff that we know nothing about. But that doesn't add ANYTHING to the conversation, and may be flat wrong.
Agree bush bars have not been as useful on most trails but on those that are overgrown to look like single track they help a lot. Our self healing Xpel wrap has been probably our best investment ROI wise. Still looks good after over 120k (mainly off-road) miles of pin striping. We also use it to mount our auxilary lights, stab our winch that is usually stored on the inside roll bar. The bush bar is also integrated into our front skid plate. Photos from last months trip to Moab. Photo with trailer is of a flat spot we found above the Green River, the trail to get to this dispersed site was not flat! Will be posting a link for our Moab trip report when complete at the below link.
Note that aside from body protection, 'Otis' is completely stock. This was our first trip with a rented off-road trailer, considering one to enable better four season adventures.

Check it out: https://shop.eurowise.com/product-p/eworg1001s.htm

JRZ is no joke. I've heard these are coming for our cayenne's. Wonder what they will run for, because their street stuff isn't cheap.

The JRZ stuff is now online, looks like nothing for gen2 Cayennes, but is available for gen2/3 T's. What gives?

Awesome to see the aftermarket picking up for these!

The Best Porsche Posts for Porsche Enthusiasts
Since taking delivery:
-swapped the 21's for 18's, powdercoated evo grey, black centercaps.
-nokian hakka 10's
-thule + skiguard touring box
-clear side markers
Up next:
-eurowise baja bar hopefully shipping this week
-hella 500 black magics, 2x clear, 2x amber
-17mm OEM spacers for the rear
What should I do next?
Current thinking is to roll with it like this til spring, then do a set of 18" braids, and some kind of fatter A/T tire. The car is CPO through late '23 so not really wanting to dig into tunes, etc.
I put Falken Wildpeak ATs on mine and love the performance and looks of them. Could be a good route for you.

I'm actually pulling off the hakka's and bought the Falkens, installing this weekend.
The studded hakka's were just incredibly loud. I've had many sets of studs and have never heard road noise like these...it was waking the neighbors, babies were crying...it was a mess. Decided I can give up a little on the margins for ice traction in exchange for keeping my hearing. Sending them back to Nokian so they can see if there was some kind of defect.
We were looking for a rig for off-road adventure and appreciate the Porsche brand, we have a G body Targa and an RS America for track. Many years ago we got to spend time with Jan Kalmer's European 958 Cayenne Diesel in Seattle. Jan set many speed records like driving from Norway to the tip of South Africa, the entire coastline of Australia, etc. Not long after it was announced that 958 diesels would be available in North America, we ordered ours to go off-road and endurance rally. Upon receipt we started modifying ours like Jan's but for our purposes. Bull bar, skid plates, rock sliders, roll bar, winch that can be stabbed front or back, etc. Almost nine years and 115k principally off-road miles 'Otis' is still going strong. Just returned from ~2 weeks in the Owyhee Canyonlands, the trip prior was a 5,120 mile (one way) winter rally up to the frozen Arctic Ocean at Tuktoyaktuk. We have also spent a lot of time in the hot Chihuahuan desert, running BDR trails in the northwest, Canada and more. Note that with air-suspension we have not seen the need for a lift-kit and run 255/55/18 BFG KO2 tires three season and studded Hakka's for winter. Currently planning an extended adventure hopefully starting in February 2022. For our build and some of what we do see link - its not current or complete as we are out having fun:

Not sure what wheels will fit your GTS,
We have used the stock base 18" wheels on our 958 diesel. Purchased two sets of four locally from folks wanting different wheels. Now with 12ea wheels we have six for three season four on the ground with two full size spares, same configuration for winter. Winter we run studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta's - - three season BFG KO2s both at 255/55/18.
This will be our 10th year with ~123k principally off-road miles driving from the frozen Arctic Ocean at Tuktoyaktuk to Moab on to the hot Chihuahuan desert with many adventures in between. All done with a stock diesel that has air suspension and body protection - lift kit is not required.
