Please help me clear this up. It you've seen TFLCar is doing some testing of a 2012 ctt showing its actually capable off road. They've said a couple of times that the locking rear diff is a rare option? That doesn't seem true based on what I saw when I was looking but maybe I'm wrong. I tended to be looking for fully optioned Turbos with PTV so maybe it came with that? I also based that opinion mostly on just seeing the switches in the center console, is there a similar switch that doesn't have the rear locker?

The rear locking diff comes with the PTV+ option which is quite rare (at least in Europe)

 

My guess is that while PTV+ is less rare on Turbos (since they tend to be heavily optioned) it is relatively rare across the entire population of Cayenne's.

 

Center console switches are the same regardless of whether the 958 has PTVPlus or not.

 

Has anyone retrofitted?
