I still use Durametric to reset my service intervals. I couldn't get the iCarScan to work with Android and returned it to Amazon. They couldn't figure out why I couldn't sign in, kept getting "already signed in" error messages.

Mine arrived about 36 hours after I placed my order. To this day I have no idea how they accomplished that (and it came from China.. via post..)

well I uninstalled all durametric software and drivers and then installed this version that was given to me by Durametric tech support:
http://www.durametric.com/durametric6.5.5.11.exe

I rescanned and now pulled some codes that at least make a bit more sense. How they translate to the Cayenne..I am still trying to figure out

I used the iCarsoft Porsche 2 version and it works pretty well with the 14 cd.

I am unsure if it does more than reset maintenance reminders but it does this well. My durametric would not update to the 2014 cd about a year ago when I bought the iCarsoft.

If I had to guess - the one from Amazon wasn't from Amazon directly - it was probably from a "Store" setup in Amazon by another company, and the iCarScan you received had previously been in someone else's possession and registered. Just a guess. Did you try contacting the company for tech support? There is a Facebook group where they can help you with problems like this.

Durametric tech support was able to help me get the proper codes out of the durametric. Updating to the latest version with drivers was step one...followed by getting the fault codes from the side menu Engine module as opposed to running short test on all modules. You can see the two separate results obtained (left side running direct from module/right side by running all short test command)

The codes pulled on the left at least tie out to the descriptions. I cleared codes and will see if they come back. If the code comes back and it was not the cap...and it sounds like the problem lies in the EVAP system. Either leak detectors or vacuum pumps (quick searches on the codes only brought back older Cayenne threads)

Hopefully this helps someone in the future!

Short test on Durametric for my 2013 is problematic too. It can scan everything in the car except the airbag module. I've worked with tech support many times and in many many attempts, I was only successful in running the test on the airbag module one and only time. Even though I've sent them log after log of the unsuccessful and the one successful attempt, they still can't figure out why their software doesn't work on the airbag module. In fact, they once tried to tell me nobody else has been having the problem except me... Except for the fact that they thought I was someone else who they had spoken to just a few hours ago with the same exact issue. It was fun correcting their lie when I explained I wasn't who they thought I was; instead I was the other customer who was "the only one" having this issue with their product. Lol.

Can't say as to "icarsoft" - but I did use iCarScan to tell my PCM that I had a clock/compass module after I added the center-dash clock to my '11 CTT. That enabled the "sport-chrono" function on the dash display also..

That’s great news. I’d like to add the same to my CTT. If you wouldn’t mind sharing I’ll PM for details.
