She got rear-ended last night in Chicago.
Fortunately, police witnessed the entire thing and escorted us through one of Chicago's busiest intersections while we had a red. The abominable State Farm accepted full responsibility for the damages caused by the lady who was somehow not paying any attention and hit me with some speed in very slow traffic. I'm thinking about taking her to North Shore Auto Rebuilders. Do any Chicagoans have a recommendation?

Accepted delivery on my CS at 2:30 this morning.
Washed a week's worth of road crud off it, then drove to the Registry (DMV) to start that process. Spent about 3 hours in the car, 120 miles. My wife spent an additional 90 minutes in the car with the dog, waiting for me to get through the Registry. God bless her.
This was my first seat time in a Cayenne driver's seat. And I'm in love.

Chicago area to Southern California were my first hours in my Cayenne S. Ditto with the cruise control. I did it last Sept when there was not much traffic on the roads. 32 hours straight with just gas/food stops. Would NEVER go straight through again but she got me home. Never slept better that night in my life.

Same, when I got mine first, was surprised how the speed racks up and the road noise and feel is minimal. After that got me a radar detector because I'm constantly going to fast comfortably.

Spent four hours cleaning my CD after successfully conquering "The Georgia Traverse" during a five day overloading/camping trip. The Georgia Traverse is a beautiful and mildly challenging route of forrest service roads and unpaved off road trails complete with water crossings. My CD is set up for off-road overloading and has performed flawlessly on every trip. I worked with Porsche Motorsports prior to introduction of the second gen. Cayenne to spec
a vehicle in anticipation of the US introduction of the diesel. Equipped with factory Bilstein air-suspension and the complete factory aluminum sill protection system (rock sliders) and running Braid 18" WinRace Beadlock B system wheels running Falcon Wildpeaks, the vehicle performs incredibly. With the RigD ultra swing rear tire carrier and mounted diesel Rotopaks, my range is well in excess of 800 miles. Now that my rig is cleaned and spotless, I am planning my next excursion to get it dirty again.
