It's an easy install. A little tedious, popping panels out, but it's probably one of the simplest DIY mods you could make.

No programming necessary afterwards, nor is there anything the computer in the car or the dealership can see. It's passive and doesn't interfere with anything, or even show up on the bus. It just fakes out the buttons presses, that's it.

Forget about dual batteries, just consider your starter battery, if it does not get a full 100% charge on a regular basis it will fail early.

Unless your battery was tested as bad, the underlying problem is still there, stop/start will shortly fail to work and your new battery will slowly loose it`s charge down to 75% while smart charging is still functional and you are still driving car short distances.The only way to check the voltage of your battery is by multimeter across the battery terminals, to do this you must unlock bonnet, lock the car and wait at least 1/2 hour for car to go to sleep, now take reading, Do not take voltage reading from within car as it will be low and incorrect.
