Saying goodbye to my Cayenne...
After a lot of self-debate, I've decided the time has come to let my Cayenne go. She's been a great friend for a long time (we crossed the 100K mile mark back in December), but with the last of the kids moved out into the real world now she's a bit of overkill. I no longer need the extra space, she loves the expensive gas, and since she's only the V6 keeping her just for "sport" isn't really an option.
This time around I'm trading her in, something I haven't done with a car in many, many years. As such, I can't recall if it is acceptable to keep things I've added over the years to possibly sell separately (Like the Porsche all-weather floormats and trunk liner, etc.)? Anyone know the rule/etiquette on that?
I'll definitely miss this place (I lurk far more than I post), and I'll miss her "aura", but it's time for something smaller, faster, and more efficient.
Cheers all!

All a dealer will want is the vehicle. No one is going to check a single thing, they truly do not care one bit about anything but the truck once you trade it in.
Anything you want to keep is yours to keep.
Anything you want to keep is yours to keep.

The Porsche Dealership offered me $2250 for my 2004 Cayenne S with 140K when I bought my 13 Diesel in the beginning of the year. I was actually surprised they offered me that much.
I sold it privately for $5,750.
To answer the initial question, take everything that is not nailed down. One nice thing to do though, if you have any maintenance records for it, leave them in the glovebox. Will be a nice bonus for whoever ends up with it.

The floormats (and trunkmat) are black rubber, and I do have the rear curtain cover. The cover is platinum grey though, which matched the interior color of my car.

I know I took a hit, but wife got the bug once she started shopping and wanted her new car "now", keeping me from giving it some time to try to sell outright for more.
Happy wife, happy life, right?
