That said I don't have a 957 to make sure the same capabilities are available, but in general - if it can be done with a Dorametric Pro - it appears so far - this can do everything the Pro does.

Thank you Don! Been waiting for a tool that would work with an iPhone, ordered one right away.

If the need is only for a single car software, would these do the same thing?
http://www.obd2tool.com/goods-5270-L...+Software.html
http://www.obd2tool.com/goods-5052-L...r+Android.html
First one is $85+$10.56 shipping
The second one is $158+$18.95 shipping
Shipping rate difference comes from different weight stated on the webpage (400g vs 800g), which both sound a bit strange. Usually this kind of stuff comes from China in bubble envelope and weights a lot less.

Ordered one as soon as I saw Don's post (4/12), but they have not yet shipped according to their order status page and they are not returning my emails. I've already changed oil on our CD this past weekend and need to reset the reminder....

As far as the second one - that's the tool this thread is ABOUT. So - yes and no - it works fine - but it's not a substitute for the device the thread is about - it is the device the thread is about.

Just received icarscan device, and downloaded iOS app. It is called "EZdiag" in the app store.
I am trying to decide which pieces of software I should download and looking for feedbacks, especially from Don or those who have used it. I am able to pick 8 free, and in addition to manufacturers, these are available. I have to choose all 8 before I can actually start using any one of them. I am choosing Porsche (14 CD & 10 GT3), BMW (97 M3), RESET OIL, but what else could be useful?

I'm not sure what any of those are.. on mine - it came free with:
"EOBD"
"DEMO"
"RESET BRAKE"
"RESET OIL"
"RESET SAS"
Then I could select from 5 manufacturers. I'm guessing the 3 "RESET" ones that were enabled when I downloaded the Android software are similar to what you're being offered.
Thing is - I've never used these. The Porsche software has all the abilities for resetting brake, oil, SAS and lots more built right in. I guess these resets are for a generic OBD-II service on a vehicle that you haven't purchased the manufacturer's software.
Mine recently went past the 1 year date for the software. What appears to have happened is the software I already downloaded remains enabled and working. There isn't an option to download any others - but I expect this could be done via the website. If a newer version of the Porsche software comes out and it has anything really significant different - I'll explore that. Right now - I'm happy with what I have.
I'm surprised you have to pick all 8 before any start working. It wasn't that way with the Android. I only selected the final manufacturer I wanted about a month ago - doing it before the 1 year expiration. At first I just had the Porsche software and it worked fine.

So the app was downloaded by scanning the QR code, but you can search for EZDiag on Apple App store. I downloaded it, and was able to connect to the device via Bluetooth in the car. However, it launches yet another app, "golo" which seems to be also made by the same company, and the same user account is used to log into it. It tries to start, but fails upon trying to download "Diag file". This is where I am stuck at the moment. Anyone else having the same issue or figured it out, yet?

Hi! I bought this, and tried it out yesterday. The Launch software is not as intuitive as one would think, and the manual is worthless. Where do you go in the menu to reset the service intervals? DO you know if it will reset brake pad warning? My pads are fine-if so, do you know where that reset is?
thanks!
thanks!
