Sirius XM Issue - 2006 Cayenne Turbo
I'm trying to get their 2-month free trial. However, the only channel I can access is their generic, Channel 1 Preview channel. Sirius XM have tried 6 times to send me a refresh signal to my stock PCM 2.1 unit. They are now telling me I need to send it back to the dealer. What's is happening here? Their website shows my radio fully qualifies for the free trial... but I still cannot access Jack doo-doo. WTF?

Is there a radio ID display you can select from the radio itself or are you reading the books to give that ID to them? The only thing I could think of is that the radio unit was replaced with another at some time and the ID is different. If not and you are reading off the ID Display from the unit itself something must be screwball with the antenna receiver, although I would think that you wouldn't even get channel 1 with that??
BTW--XM is awesome, and I was one of the first million subscribers so have been onboard since it first launched.

My stock radio ID was recognized by Sirius XM, stating I "qualified" for their totally-free, 2-month trial. I'm just trying to surf their channels. But, I'm not going to be a subscriber, when I cannot even begin to try all their services. I'm stumped...

Are you the original owner?
Perhaps the free trial has already been used.
Just buy 1 month and get the unit fully activated.
It's worth it to me to have almost zero commercials.
I'm sure they will refund you if it still won't work.

The "free trial" option can be used over and over again. Simply use an email address and give a phony name/physical address. Minutes later, you get another 60 or 90 days free activation. Been doing this for a couple years whenever I am about to go on a road trip. I doubt they even care that you do this. My 2010 has probably had a dozen free trials in the last 4 years.
