Default Hose missing...

Hi y'all,

So, I was cleaning up the engine a little bit and must have bumped the small OD hose that attaches to this. It basically dropped immediately when I touched it and I never found it. I know it has something to do with emissions, but I had no warning light, so I figured maybe it was some sort of overflow or breather tube. I have driven 200-300 miles with no issues but yesterday the CEL came on. I took it in today and the hose is missing, obviously dropping from the bottom of the car somewhere. The mechanic found the other end of where the hose would go, but they can't find out exactly what that hose is called to replace it. They tried a couple of hose sizes they had but apparently the bottom part of the hose needs a 90 degree turn, which is a bitch to put on in such a little space. I'm hoping one of you can suggest a name of how I might search for the hose or maybe even a drawing or part number? The mechanic pulled up some schematics and tried calling the Pcar dealer, but no answers yet. Car drives great but I obviously want to purchase the hose and install it.

The location is at the back of the engine on the passenger-ish side of the engine. Any help would be appreciated.

Safe safe!

Travis

Remove the intake manifold, makes getting to all of those hidden vacuum lines physically possible

Source: did this on my GTS when replacing the vacuum pump

Libast, thanks for the note. I searched one last time on the web and found a thread very similar on Rennlinst. They referenced the Pelican article on the removal of the intake and in 90 min or so, I was done. It was actually a good project as I got a chance to inspect the hoses, tubes and connections. All felt good, so it gives me some comfort. The CEL is still on but it runs amazingly well, so I'm just hoping it has to be cleared... Thanks!

Awesome! We tried our hardest to not remove the intake, but in the end, the hidden lines on the back of the manifold were just too much for our big boy hands to reach
