Default Turbo S Intercoolers

Just wanted to show off my new purchase.

Turbo S intercoolers and Tune all supplied by FVD Brombacher.

Pricing from Rhonda out of Miami was extremely good and way cheaper than the Canadian Porsche dealers. Shipped from Germany in less than two weeks.

Ill report back after install.

I'd like to see the regular and S side by side if you could.

Would love to do away with the ever-leaking quick-disconnect flexible hose that sprays oil everywhere, and the extra HP would be great too. But aren't these an arm and a leg? Like a couple thousand $?

What is the expected gain with the larger intercoolers and tune?

Also, can you get some measurements please? Thanks!

I'm really sorry. I didn't see this until now.

I have some pictures for reference. No solid measurement numbers.

Install was fairly straightforward. Front bumper off. Fender lines out. Charge pipes out. Replace i/c. Only issue the turbo s intake ducts must be a tad different. Made the stock turbo ones work with no problem tho. 230,000 kms on intercoolers.

I couldn't find the CTTS intercoolers on their site. http://www.fvd.de/us/en/Porsche-0/91...tercooler.html

Do you have a link?
Also, are you going to do a dyno run after you get them installed and your computer flashed?

Here's the link from the ones I recently purchased, which says for Turbo & Turbo S

http://www.fvd.de/us/en/Porsche-0/911T-153-47/-/2009/item/item_details/VID_34586658-VCD_25301009-gid_0-sort_4-display_50-item_FVD110957/FVD110957_Cayenne_Turbo_750_Intercooler_Kit_for_958_and_957.html

Haven't installed them yet but will in the next month or so as part of my widebody build.

Just curious - aside from the difference in end fittings - what is the difference between the S and non-S intercoolers? From the photos they look very close in size and fin density.

More flow due to the differences in end caps?

The S intercoolers appear larger as they should (Just a little more thickness will do it). Larger intercoolers offer more surface area for the cooling air and more importantly, more internal volume so the charge air has to slow down and have time to cool more. Of course this means more throttle lag but you'd likely never notice the difference.

I would absolutely love to do a dyno run. Sadly though. Don't have a before to exactly measure what the increase is. With new diverter valves in (stock 710p) and worn evo ms diverters out.
Car runs soooo strong. I just wish we had the roads in Canada. Pretty happy right now.
