Default Am I doing something I would regret- buying a CD now

Been looking at diesels for years and our old RDX needs replaced right now, in the middle of the diesel stop sale.

A local Non Porsche dealer just took a 14 CD Platinum in on trade with only 28k miles. The price is very attractive and I am going to have the local Porsche Dealer do a PPI, since I don't trust the techs at this dealer to know what to look for.

Question is, am I making a bad decision to buy this car with the uncertainty of the 3.0 fix?

Thanks for your input!

I don't think so, but, I bought out the lease on my 15 when they said they extended my warranty to 6/100, so what do I know.

I just bought 13 CD with 52K miles a few weeks back. Love it. Warranty until 2019. What is there to be concerned about? There won't be 2017 or maybe 2018s available even if dealers liquidate their 2016 CD inventory when stop sale is removed.

I have read in many places, forums, that the warranty was bumped to 6/100k. But noone at VW AUDI PORSCHE can confirm or deny this??

Porsche can confirm it when you supply them the VIN and ask for the warranty status. All CDs sold in the US had the extended warranty applied and the owner of record should have gotten a letter confirming that (I got email and snail mail copies).

Buy it. Was it confirmed previous CPO cars had even longer warranty?

Had Porsche complete the PPI this morning. Came back only needing tires. They also confirmed that the comprehensive warranty was extended to 6yr/100k on this car as well as all CD'S.

Thanks for all the feedback, appears this is a solid car. I'm going to buy it!

Picked up the 958 CD. Very excited to have this car and being a part of this forum.

Excuse the messy garage, in the middle of a kitchen remodel.

Congrats. I picked up a lightly used 2016 CD yesterday.
