No, the Toyota fluid doesn't meet the Esso LT71141 spec, it meets the Transmission spec of Esso JWS3309 spec but not both. The best Synthetic lubricants can meet both but I don't know if any non-Synthetics that meet both. I wouldn't worry about using a Synthetic, I would actually say it would be preferred. I think the belief of Synthetics causing leaks is old school. Synthetics nowadays use seal conditioners and such which keep the leaks from occurring.

Yep - plus if you're using Redline they predominantly use esters as the base stock for the engine and driveline fluids. Esters are naturally really good seal swellers.

T6 until now. Switched to RL 0W40. I like that RL fluids are really shear stable, have an additives pack that includes high amounts of ZDDP (anti-wear additives), is ester-based, and RL has a 0W40 and a 5W40 with similar base-stocks and additives packages. That way, I can use their 0W in the winter, and their 5W in the summer without having to switch oil brands. Their 5W40 is damn near a 5W50, too, which will be great in the summer.

I use the Redline 5w-40 year round but up here around Seattle a cold winter night is in the low 20's, most nights in the low 30's.

I didn't know that. Sounds like I'll be switching again. Pennzoil Platinum right now, but it all depends on the base stock. Ester oil based motor oils are far far superior to anything else out there.

I have read sto many threads about transmission oil, TC, differential that I am more confused than before, which I didn't know anything. My car is 2008 957 TT

I am prepared to do a full change to those oils including transmission filter. I don't even consider to pay the stealer for this job (he asked 920 Euros incl. labor).

If someone can give me a straight answer it will be helpful.

Transmission oil: Mobil ATF 3309 x 9ltrs is it okay?
Transfer Case: Any synthetic ATF like RL D4 or I can use Mobil 3309 again?
Front/Rear Differential: Mobil SAE 75W90 GL-4
Flange and Filter: Straight from the dealer.

For the front and rear Diffs make sure the Gear oil is a GL-5, a GL-4 doesn't have the Extreme pressure additives required to protect the gears. 3309 or RL D4 is fine for the tranny, not sure what is available there in Greece. The RL costs more but in my opinion it is better which the specs and oil analysis also show but just changing to any high quality Aisin spec 3309 fluid is better than the old stuff. The transfer case calls for a Esso LT71141 spec ATF which the Mobil 3309 doesn't meet. It less than a liter. I use RL D4 as it meets both specs but for such a small amount you could just get it from VW, Audi, or Porsche as the Touareg, Q7, and Cayenne all had the same transfer cases and probably sell the same fluid, just in their own containers. 9 Liters should be more than enough, probably get by with 8. You can get the filter and rubber gasket from Porsche or the above two VAG manufacturers. The Porsche shop manual actually says (surprisingly) that you can re-use the ATF pan gasket if it is in good condition. I replaced mine but I do have to say the OEM gasket probably would have been fine. Do you know how to do the proper fill procedure? Have Durametric or similar program to monitor transmission temps while filling?

Thank you very much for your immediate response. An Porsche Indy will do the job for me for 70 Euros in Labor.
So I found:
Mobil ATF 3309 for €14/lt x 9 = €126
Liqui Moly 75W/90 €11/lt x 3 = €33
RL D4 €22/lt x 1 = €22 (For Transfer Box)
Transmission Filter for €40
TOTAL = €221

I think that it's a pretty good price for all the materials plus a 70 Euro labor the Indy asked.

Just finished the fluid changes a few days ago on my '08 with exactly 100KKm (~60K miles), 94K of which were accumulated by a known ( gentle driver) PO with full service records from Porsche.

I had debated on whether to force drain the torque convertor, but after seeing the near opaque burgundy fluid that came from the pan, the debate was over .... lifetime ATF fluid - muahahaha!!

A full 100% synthetic was used, TOTAL MV, which is a crystal clear light red. As 'hahnmgh63' pointed out above, the pure synthetics meet numerous ATF spec criteria .... this TOTAL ATF meets JWS 3309, Esso LT71411, Toyota T-IV, VW g02xxxxx, etc .... so will also do for the Cayenne's transfer case.

BTW, to purge the torque convertor, the Aisin trans pan was filled after fitting a new filter & gasket, and the trans cooler return line was disconnected at the bottom of the rad ( just try and pop the rear line off at the trans ). The engine was started at idle and quickly stopped when fresh fluid appeared from the opened line ( ~3.5L): The convertor was now full of fresh ATF, and the additions to the pan resumed until a 40C deg operating temp was achieved.

The transfer case was refilled with the same ATF, noting that the drained fluid to be a murky, brownish colour.

A LubroMoly 75W-90 GL5 was used for the two diffs. I fully expect the new fluid to retain a clarity at the next inspection, many Km away.

I've done my CTTS completely once (Transfer case twice) and my old CTT once as well as two others (thankfully have a lift in my shop). On all of them the transfer case fluid looked pretty bad, on my CTTS I chose to do it again after 20K and it still looked like it was just about time. Also, the front diff fluids all looked worse than the rear diffs (maybe more condensation gets in there? Maybe not enough heat/load to burn off contaminants/moisture?).

I found this to work VERY well in removing the front differential fill plug. Cost only $1.64 with tax at Home Depot. Coupling nut:

I plan to change the oil in my differentials and all I can find locally is 75W 90 Royal Purple, it is a synthetic and states it is compatible with GL4 & GL5 applications

Will this work?

If so how much do I need? 2 litres?
