Default To sell or not to sell

I have a beautiful white 04 Cayenne S with 109k. It has a minor scratch on the tailgate and an almost unnoticeable fracture in the clear on the bumper. But it turns heads, stands out and has gotten me plenty of you know what.

About a year ago it made a knocking noise after I ran it for a few seconds to back it out of the garage and started it up again the next day. But the noise quickly went away and it's never done it since. Other than that, I'm slightly annoyed by the firm ride and not having a turbo. No mechanical issues except a wondering coolant temp gauge, but it's never been a problem.

I'm considering selling and buying a turbo with air suspension. Is this a bad choice or am I making the right decision. I listed my Cayenne on craigslist but am having second thoughts. What should I ask for it? I'm missing some maintenance records from the previous owners.

We loved our 06 S, similar condition, new tires, 95k, etc. I had it on CL for a bit asking $17k, willing to do $15k or so....jumped at the $13k a dealer offered for it as I had gotten no serious hits on it. Turned around and bought a nice 45k mile turbo and we are in love. It is way way more car in every way compared to the S. It might seem like it's just a bit more surplus power, but all the details add up to a much nicer vehicle in every way.

Ride will be firmer in turbo assuming larger wheels. But then again it's a Porsche not a Lexus. Good luck!

yeah. I'd list it at $10k if you are in a bigger market and there are a few available and take 8500 or so... If I were to list mine here in SC, I'd list it at $13-$14k because it may be the only one on craigslist in the entire state at any give time. There are a few dealers around here with them listed at $16k, an S!! which is a joke.

A little disappointed on the 8-10k value. I paid 12.5 several yeast ago. Would still like to get rid of this thing though. Hoping I can get 10k.

So you're gonna lose $2.5K - $4K over several years and you're unhappy?

How much were you hoping it was worth? $12.5K?

You bought the highest depreciating car Porsche has ever made.

I think you'll be lucky to get $9k. It's a Porsche that's no faster than most street cars, has 100K miles, but comes with a hefty insurance price, sucks premium gas, and has really expensive parts. That's not going to appeal to a lot of people.

Selling my S and have a pending deal at $12,250. Buyer's loan has been approved so I'm confident we'll close it. 118K miles. Nav/air susp/tow/heated seats/memory seats....everything but the turbochargers option wise. FYI.
