Black smoke after 2 hours of driving.....

He wants a luxury, high performance SUV, but expects it to have the maintenance of a Toyota Hilux. What could possible go wrong?
If you've ever visited a range rover forum, it would be pretty clean that all maintenance issues on their cars are turned around within 1-day. They never spend an overnight in the shop. Ever. And when they are in the shop, they're still drivable. All Range Rovers come with a metaphysics package that still allows them to be driven, despite being on the lift.

Surprised he hasn't considered the hybrid between luxo barges and reliability which is the Lexus version of the Land Bruiser.

The bottom line is it is possible to have a tough to solve problem with about anything. Kind of the luck of the draw. I would be miffed as well, but I think you just got unlucky. Most here have had few problems. I understand your frustration, but it is what it is and my advice is to try and let Porsche sort it out for you. People think that mechanics are simple to fix. The truth is that it has a lot of art mixed in with diagnosis and correction. Good luck

My guess is a leaky injector or injectors btw.
I highly dislike dealers, at least over here they are mostly randomly throwing parts at a problem and see what will happen. I can see the same thing happening to you.
As for the car itself, I'd demand escalation of the problem all the way to Germany. You'll get a brand new engine after a nice letter from your attorney to PCNA / P Germany. MB replaced mine in under a week in an Eclass 320 diesel after a piston burned through.
Or just get a lexus / toyota :-)

I have a call at 1:30pm with Porsche NA , supposedly all parties will be on the call to discuss today's findings.

Attitude? A query. The guilty flee when none pursue, I suppose.

Let's give credit where credit is due. I believe injectors were my idea.

**Update**
1: fatmatt0116 & lupo.sk Thank you
2: Service manager called, told me they replaced fuel pumps, fuel injectors, fuel injector seals, cranking sensor, knock sensor , fuel pressure regulator, and the ECU this morning...... And it started up. Tech was going to wash up and take it for a drive and he's going to call me back with an update. I told him I do not want it back until it's been fully tested several times, Do not ship it back to me until it's been fully tested. I also wanted a full tech notes detail of what has happened, I want hours, parts , every detail possible in writing . I also want it noted that I dropped it off with 28,820 miles ,and they had to put XXXX miles on it test driving it because of this problem. He agreed and would call me after the tech test drove it a bunch of times.

I'd like to know what fixed it , but sounds like they threw the parts bin at it . Yesterday afternoon the replaced all the coil packs, plugs , can sensors , very able timing system , turbo Temp sensors . Now today they went after fuel system ? What's next ? Tranny ?
