Brainz, thanks, Im gonna try the relearn. After I Did my tranny fluid change, i reset it with my icarscan, but I didn't drive any certain way,

I also agree with the idle dip vibration, perhaps being related to the tranny and tc lockup, caise when i manual ahift down to 1st then come to a stop, the idle dip isnt there, and if it's not there, then no vibration. Always does it in 2nd, cause the tc probably unlocking and unsynced, like it does it too late, lugging the engine and pulling the idle Down.

Never thought to relearn the tranny to help.
Could you be any more specific on the relearn route you drive After tesetting, so drive for 30 minutes, up to 60 the slow down to a stop, repeat?

I noticed a significant improvement when changing the Bush in my torque arm for a powerflex one and I also replaced the gearbox rubber bushing/mount.

To describe the sensation, the car pulls away like it is in sport mode when it isn’t. Response was livened up and power felt like it was more direct rather than lost in the slop.

MarkGolf -- Good point -- I think the torque arm can help too. On my CTT (with CTTS tune), I seem to be able to destroy the torque arm in ~30k miles. New torque arms sharpen the driveline.

Corvetteboy: Here's the link to some adaptation theory/instructions: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ml#post4563446

Here's some more I've written on the transmission adaptation topic in the past: https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...l#post15719461

Quick, recent anecdote: I recently got the "brake booster warning" (i.e., a vacuum leak in the brake booster circuit). I happen to appreciate good brakes, but I drove around with the warning for a week or so as I didn't have time to fix it. Over that time, I noticed my transmission was shifting worse -- particularly in the lower gears, the shifts were increasingly mis-timed, but not terrible -- but I figured I may have to reset the TCM soon. Anyway, I fixed the vacuum leak, and over the past couple weeks, the transmission relearned to shift smoothly and the sloppiness appears to be gone. I'd not put it together at the time, but my brake booster warning and deteriorating shifts were related.

Does this seem reasonable as to how it went:

That pretty much sums it up, it is easy however, getting the new bush in was a nightmare for me! I had to keep rubbing the edges of the bush and housing down.

This is my work in progress thread and you’ll see what I did there. But basically, raise car, use a jack to support the tranny, undoing the bolts through the bushing and then support beam, you just attack the bushing, put new one in. If you have a press, it’ll be easy.
