Default Top engine torque mount question

Hey everybody,

I'm doing spark plugs and coils on an 04 Cayenne Turbo and i'm having an issue removing the bracket that obscures the coil on the passenger side of the engine (the one the torque arm bolts to). The lower two bolts are just turning but not coming out. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Are you sure your using the right socket? It takes a Triple Square or XZN type of socket. They are like a Torx but more splines.

Pelican parts has a good DIY walkthrough.

From the DIY at Pelican Parts:

You’ll now need to remove the mounting bracket. Begin by removing the two E10 Torx bolts (green arrows) holding the bracket at the bottom. Also remove all four of the T30 Torx screws holding the coil pack covers to the cylinder head.

As everyone said, use Pelican and use the right tool. They'll pop out. Recommend you replace arm if the old one is at all deteriorating (the rubber). Easy fix.

Hey everybody. Thanks for the input but I'm an idiot. I was using the right size socket (e12 if I remember) but it was too fat for the hole so instead of turning the bolt it was binding on the walls. Sorry and thanks again :-)

Good to hear. As Matt O. said above, the Torque rod bushings only seem to last about 60~70K so check yours out.
