A little context here would would be helpful...year and model and other options. I would suspect that this is the "launch control" option that is included as part of the sport chrono package. This is essentially the equivalent of a "power brake" enabler if you are familiar with earlier muscle cars. It locks the power brakes and allows the torque to build up before release. It is for drag-race type starts.

I am not really up to speed on the post- 2010 models, so someone else may need to chime in.

Cheers,
TomF

It does appear with Google: When a new model is introduced, a pre-spec'ed model is sent to each dealer as a "launch vehicle" to be a demo or to sell outright. It is a model that is not special ordered; the factory designates what options are on a launch vehicle. There are various launch vehicles that use these codes; Google reveals chatter about Caymans with the launch vehicle code... Cayennes have them obviously... and I'd suspect they're usually at the front end of the new model cycle... like 2008's, or 2011's for Cayennes... or whatever first year a certain model appears in the market.

The window sticker I've seen says "Launch Vehicle" as the option with $0 price.

The one I saw it on was a 2006 Turbo S and the price was $0.

I don't think "launch correct" is the same as "launch control".

Those are my own words in my post above, but I confirmed the info with Google RE the Caymans, I have a Cayenne myself with that code.

My Cayenne has this as well. That explains the stupid choice of many high dollar options and then no comfort lighting so no auto dim mirrors or heated wheel either. Just plain silly options choices on mine.
