Default CTT vibration on acceleration

Noticed a slight vibration or shutter while going up and down some hills today and on heavy acceleration. Also a slight vibration in the steering wheel around 80mph that seems to go away after a little driving. I just had brand new tires put on so might be a balancing issue. Any ideas on the vibration acceleration?

Thanks

Do some investigation as it could be a balancing issue or the beginning of the dreaded Cardan shaft failure. Check your Wheel bolts first just to be safe. At least for my '06 CTTS the recommended Torque is 118 ft/lbs for the wheel bolts.

try loosening the lug bolts, and tighten them to 118 lbs as mentioned, when jacked off the ground. This will assure that they are centered. I had the same symptoms, and it took me years to figure it out. Most of the time the dealers and indi's do not torque to 118. The wheels do move around at high speed when not torqued fully.

Ill give that a try and report back! Just had the right hand turn signal go out as well, replaced the bulb and still doesnt work. I have done some research and it seems to be the socket so ill see if I can clean that out too.

+1 You can check the cardan shaft in just a few minutes.
