Passenger Side Air Filter Replacement 2005 Turbo
#16
I just went thru this ordeal. I figured it out on my own but only after ripping the old one and squishing the new filter based on some advice to just move the air box half out of the way. There is not enough room then. So I thought I would add some photos of the danged air connector that's the issue.
First off there is this screw hidden under the washer cap

The air box connector under the torque arm See the little notch for the screwdriver to pop it loose
The next thing is the sliding collet, which you need to get in between the two pieces. I'm not sure I split it right, but I did get it to pop off with a screw driver
And finally the exposed nipple, If you broke this it should be possible to either glue it back on, or replace with something like copper tubing and a better hose. I wonder what's under the aluminum shielding?
