Post 911 guy does a Cayenne review

I have been driving various Cayennes over the last couple of months and have done a quick video review.

Hope you enjoy.

Nick

Thanks for the review. Question, how did your dog like it? I believe I saw a dog print in the back seat.

You mention that the first gen had been hit with an ugly stick but it's my favorite. The current design looks like a generic Asian crossover. Like as if Kia was trying to move upmarket.

Agree, first gen looks more Porsche-like than the current generation. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

I disagree that I think the 958 shares the same design queues as the rest of the current line.

That said (and as a 958 owner), I do like the original 955 look better. It looks like something that is ready to get down to business in any circumstance while the 958 looks like it doesn't want to get it's feet wet

I'm interested in the performance of a the 958 turbo but prefer the looks of the 957.

I test drove both the diesel followed by the GTS and to me it was night and day difference in power. If money is no problem GTS is the winner imo

I totally agree. The original 955 styling cues were SPOT-ON....in terms of aesthetic appeal and sporty aggressiveness. I'll freely admit I thought it was awkward-looking at it's 2003 release, but many SUVs today have copied some form of it's body styling already. I guess everything is subjective....as it took ten years for the design to grow on me:
