Fuel pump?

Fuel pump?
So another issue with the new to me 2004 Cayenne S..
Car starts up great. Cuts out completely after 10 seconds. Every single time.
Pulled fuse 14 for primary fuel pump, car continues to run.
1. Is this mainly indicitave of a bad fuel pump or are there other things it might be?
2. Is it safe to drive, after removing fuse 14, without incurring damage using the secondary pump? If so, how far (enough to drive 20 miles to the dealer?)
Cheers,

I drove on my secondary pump for 1200 miles. Don't let the tank get below 1/4. Also I would avoid flooring it.
There are two pumps because the driveshaft cuts through the tank up the middle. Hence there are two lobes with a raised area in the middle. The secondary pump is just as capable as the primary. If you have a turbo and are trying to track it.. A single pump will not provide full rate of fueling. For normal driving you won't even notice it. Don't stress driving to the dealer - it will be fine and not damage anything.
Also I would replace both fuel pumps at the same time since the labor is the same. I would however look for an Indy th dealer is going to screw you to do the job I would guess.

Thanks endless, really appreciate the advice. Car should be going in this week. Wife is driving it gingerly to work. All flat roads, under 60mph, and I expect not over 3000 revs!! Lol!
Thanks again,
