A service isn't always done during the CPO inspection, however they are required to bring the vehicle current on service if they don't have a record showing that it's current. What probably happened is that the "36k major service", which is also due at 3 years, was done in 2011 at the 3-year mark. When did you purchase it?

I don't know about the older models, but for the 958s you can reset each interval individually.
