I'm in the market for a new GTS. I've come across several 2013s, there seems to be a fair amount, and dealers are marking them down only 10%. That doesn't seem that much when the 2014s are already on its way out.

I'm seeing discounts easily of 8% on 2014s...

does that make any sense? anyone pick up a leftover recently?

The 2014s aren't already on their way, they've been here for a long time (summer 2013). It's the 2015 MY that will be here this summer.

Are you sure you are looking at 13s and not 14s? Not sure which dealer(s) you are talking to, but Rockville and Tysons go through their inventory fast enough that I'd be shocked if they have a new (e.g. never purchased) 2013 sitting on their lot.

If it is indeed 13s you are looking at, then I'd expect you to be able to get a better deal as it has been costing them a significant amount while they've been sitting there and with the mid-cycle refresh coming this summer (plus the Macan which will likely impact Cayenne sales too) an almost 2 MY old vehicle is only going to get harder to sell. Porsche dealers don't like to deal, but at only 10% I'd say get a 2014 now or wait for the 2015s.

If it is a 14 you are looking at, 10% is damn good compared to what I got on my 13 1.5 years ago.

 

i read that the refresh will have 20 extra hp, but PDK is not confirmed right?

In Canada, Cayennes are selling like hot cake, 2013s are looooong gone, no left over.

 

It's confirmed. It's not happening in the 958. Next chance will be the successor, but I wouldn't hold my breath as at least right now it seems that Porsche doesn't think it can handle the towing that the Cayenne is capable of (and they don't want to reduce that).

As far as the HP bump, I know the diesel is getting a bump but I don't know about the gas models.

 

The dealer in Atlanta has two 2013 GTS demos for sale for around $85K. Both have around 3K miles.

 

Been looking at those. You really have to be into Brown Metallic to like them.

 

I think the brown is interesting, the Umber is too light. The mahogany could be interesting in person.

I am a black car guy, so those are not really my thing, but they seem like a decent deal. It says they are $4K below value, but I bet you could get more off the price.

 

There quite few 2013s left over new and demos in my area. To me if you can get a good discount on a 2013 go for it as it is the same as 2014. Im picking one up loaded with carmine gts int for a real good price.

 

Check the build date as 11/2012 forward has the updated PCM (album art and HDD are the two I remember) which is in all 2014s. I believe there were a few other minor changes too, but I'd have to dig up the relevant threads to remember them (e.g. buttons got moved around).

Physically they look the same from the outside though.

Anyone know any other differences aside from updated PCM? Can the older pre 11/2012 be updated?
