Does the engine start immediately, or does it take a bit of time?
If it's a bit of time - chances are your fuel injection pressure is bleeding down when the P!G is off. If it starts immediately and does a squeal - chances are your starter is on it's way out and not retracting when the engine starts. In either case you want to fix this rather quickly rather than damage the ring-gear on the flywheel (many $$$$ to fix..)
