Default tow 4 wheels down

Can any Cayennes be towed four wheels down behind an RV? Do they make one with a manual transmission?

I don't believe so, flat bed or trailer would be required.

I would check the manual (that get a laugh from anyone??) but I seriously doubt the Cayenne's AWD system is designed for being towed. I would go with something like the Jeeps that are designed for this. My BIL has towed several Jeeps behind his motor home for many years.

A geo tracker weighs like 2500lbs and can be 4 down. A cayenne is 5,100 lbs. Even if it could be towed 4 down (which it can't) it is too heavy to make a good tow car IMO.

I believe that applies to the 958 Cayenne only. The 955 and 957 had transfer cases, which might make them "towable". But they're both even heavier than the 958. Regarding manual trannys, the only 958 with a manual is the base V6 (gasoline). Haven't owned a 955 or 957, so I won't even speculate.

Yep, it's actually from a 2005 owners manual I downloaded from Rentech.com for free!

100% searchable on an ipad/iphone BTW. I've got every manual for every vehicle I own stored on my ipad. Including factory parts and service manuals.

Much faster to just search them than try to use them the old fashioned way. Obviously quick and easy to take, edit and share screen shots too!

Use them in the garage too. Greasy finger prints just wipe off the glass screen. Pinch to Zoom on diagrams, etc.

I'm surprised how many questions here are easily answered in the owners manual. That is easily searched electronically.

Just open them on the ipad (from Renntech) and click "open in ibooks" in the upper right corner. Then it will keep it on the ipad. You can create a separate collection in ibooks for the car documents

Any chance you would be willing to share your service and parts manuals??
