Hi All,
I have a 2004CS with 100K and for the first time ever the "check oil level' light went on. It has been 8K ( 6 months) since the oil change.
I checked the level and it was close to MIN so I rushed off to the closest gas station
All they had was Mobil 1 5-30 wheras I always use 0-40.
I I hope this has no effect on the car until the full change next month?

It will be fine. But understand that Mobil 1 5w-30 has a much lower HTHS (High temp high shear) rating than the 0W-40 (which is a higher quality oil). One quart will not hurt anything though.

No problem from mixing weights. My CTT burns a quart every 1000 miles or so and I always carry a qt of 0W-40 in the car because its not always stocked when or where you need it.

Get in the habit of carrying a spare quart of oil in the left rear compartment in the hatch area.
I usually use M1 0W-40 as well, but in a pinch even non-synthetic oil is better than low oil.
