Get yourself this:

The part looks like 948 107 229 51 on page 88.

Garrett376, that's a ton of great info! I think the OP needs this info but for the 955 not the 957. Do you have this?

Ok... it looks like 948 107 217 02 on page 80:

At $140, I can see why they just hose-clamped on a generic pipe.

Disregard this post. I was posting info for the Turbo, not the S.

I think you need:
948 107 217 02 Vent line crankcase

$95.26 from Sonnen Porsche, still pricey for a small hose though. Looks like Garrett beat me while I was typing

I can't see any reason at ALL to replace that hose. The rubber hose will work just fine for crankcase ventilation - and is likely longer lasting than the factory hose. I'm sure you can find a more fun way to spend $100 on your P!G..

The problem with that hose is when i start the car it colapses (gets sucked in). I'm presuming the oem one is made from another type of rubber that can whitstand the pressure.

The pig runs fine, no problems att all, not a single code but i've been told by my tech that it can affect fuel and oil consumption.

I'm in the EU, the hose here is cloșe to 180$

**UPDATE**

Managed to replace the hose during the weekend, very simple, it just clips in it's place.

I got HUGE improvements in throttle response, especially at low rpms and my fuel consumption went down from 23l/100km to 18.5l/100km on my usual route.

Perhaps someone with more mechanical knowledge can explain why, i presume it's got something to do with the MAF sensor and the fact that it was not getting the correct mixture.

Looking back now i'm not sorry at all for spending 200$ on a 20cm hose. It will pay for itself in 5000km Not to mention the huge improvement in throttle response.

So, if you some of you got aftermarket replacements, especially if the hoses turn flat once you start the engine, change them !

For the online (downloadable parts catalog) go Porsche Parts Cat - here and select the model / year you want to see/save.
