Default porsche loaners..

i just don't get it.. you come in driving a porsche and drive out driving some crappy enterprise rental.. WTF!!

so how does these porsche dealership determine if they'd give you a p-car as a rental?

i've been it MB and BMW dealerships and they'll give you an MB and BMW loaners -- regardless of what type of service you go in for (oil change, etc) warranty or not.. is it because MB and/or BMW have cheaper 'entry level' cars for loaners compared to the p-car entry level cars?

i've scheduled my service a week in advance

Its apparently up to the dealer. I get a Panamera when I take my CTT in.
My Audi dealer used Enterprise too.

One dealer I use has Hertz on site, so you get a Buick, VW, or a Toyota -- depends what time you get there, and what's left. The other dealer is connected to a Mercedes dealership, so you get a C Class.

I'm happy to get any kind of a loaner (within reason), in a timely manner. And when you pick up your Porsche, you really appreciate it.

I usually get another Cayenne or some sort of 911 but frankly, I'd take anything they give me. When we take in the Mercedes, we usually get a C class. Some dealers seem to be connected Enterprise and Hertz in which case you end up with a typical rental. As long as it's free - who cares?

For the day it is no biggie for sure, but I had my new touareg for a month and something went screwy with the alternator and it was a month before I got it back. I had a Jetta to drive around in the middle of January in the snow. I was ticked. I bought an SUV and felt that I should get the same when I am already being without my new car for a month.

In the end, VW made one of our car payments for us which was good.

Every service I have had the Cayenne in for, I have gotten a Porsche loaner.

A total of 7 services, 7 Porsches. One was a Panmera, the others were all Cayennes.
The Panmera was 4 with winter tires, which worked out well, as I had to go a fair distance in her

I guess it depends on the dealership.

What I think is, if it starts out as a one day service, but ends up being an extended service, I would like to have the right type of vehicle so I can continue to work.

I always get a cayenne. However it doesn't always work out for the wallet. Two weeks ago we brought in our 2006 **** cayenne for service. They gave us a brand new loaded cayenne for the week. We fell in love with the new model. Upon returning the loaner we bought the GTS on the floor. Ouch to the wallet, but what an amazing vehicle.

My Porsche dealer loans me a Panamera, my MB dealer gave me a me C-class, and my BMW dealer gives me Enterprise which is usually a 328i. My indie gives me a Hyundai or Toyota. I really don't care.

I always get another Cayenne or Panamera. It was a Panamera loaner that made me fall for the new interior and update my Cayenne.

Went for repair & service 4 times to this Porsche dealer. The first visit they provided me a Panny. Had the car for two weeks. Within that week I drove it to work. A lady and her son parked her Ford next to the Panny and the son slammed the door and chipped the paint. Long story short her insurance cover for the accident. $1300 repair. Every since that incident, and clearly no fault of mind they never loan me a Porsche it seems. Sometime I would see two or three Panny, Cayman, & Cayenne parked on the loaners lot. I think they have it in their system with a red flag I messed up their car. No more Porsche loaner for this guy!

Took my CTT in for service last week for the first time. As I was pulling In the service manager was pulling up a Cayenne Hybrid for me. It was kinda cool for the first day, then the novelty wore off and I wanted my turbo back. The mileage was Incredible tho
