TPMS gremlins?
2011 958, my tpms has been going haywire of the last few days, indicating 3-4 tires are down anywhere from -4 to -6 psi. However, when I check the tire pressure, the tires are fine. I'll reset the system and it'll be fine until the next time I start the car.
Anyone experience something similar? I've had a few other cars with tpms and have not experienced this kind if behavior.
Any one else?
Thx.

Mine is a 2013 (same tpms system) and works flawlessly.
That being said, pressure can easily raise +4 psi or more from running heat which is normal.
Since you are in the searing heat of Vegas, make sure to check and fill your tires in the shade when the car has not been running for a few hours. Recommended/max PSI is for cold, and tires are designed for the rise even above maximum when hot. Then you may see +4 PSI when hot instead of -4 PSI when cold if this is your issue.

Have had no issues with TPMS in my 2011; works fine and is very accurate relative to my reference gauge. I assume you're still under warranty; I'd have it checked.

Thanks for the responses. I understand that the TPMS is affected by the climate, but given this is the 3rd Vegas summer I've had the Cayenne, this behavior is def out of the ordinary.
Just spoke to the dealership and they said it's a common problem with the batteries in the TPMS going bad. Guess I'm making a trip to the dealership this week.

Putting 100% nitrogen in the tires reduces pressure variances to within TPMS parameters. Not that you couldn't actually need new batteries, but I haven't had a TPMS alert since I first installed nitro over 2.5 years ago

Update: Took it into the dealer on Friday, they reprogrammed the TPMS and it seems to have solved the issue. It was covered under warranty.

I'm experiencing the same problem. What was the 'reprogramming solution'? I reset the Setting to re-learn the pressure each time I start the car. Discount Tire used their handheld device to confirm the sensors are readings the correct pressure.
I replaced my sensors and the problem has returned as if nothing changed.
