Default Gen 2 955 most reliable?

Guys, from reading all these threads, could we say that the 955 Gen 2 is the most reliable Pepper to date?

- No issues if coolant pipes.
- No cylinder scoring issues.
- Still drive shaft issue, but this is minor.
- Few (if any) electronic issues.

Is this a valid point, that the 955 Gen 2 is the most reliable to date? I'm preparing for the next episode. We might end up keeping the 955 Gen 1 Turbo because I know its history.

Probably, but they are only 5 years old, so more problems may start appearing in the future.

I'd think by now any issues with the drivetrain would have cropped up.

by 955 gen 2 you mean 957? Also I believe the turbo engines and vr6 are immune from scoring issues.

Sorry, I mean facelifted 955, not 957.

If you are referring to 2008-2010.. That's the facelifted 955 which IS the 957. Current model is 958. I know it's confusing because the 957's should still be called 955's considering there are minimal changes. I guess a little body work, new nav, pdcc option and direct injection are enough for Porsche to give it a new designation.

My 957 certainly has been more reliable than my 955. I'm glad I gave Cayennes a second chance...

Are there thoughts here that 957s are more reliable than 958s and newer?
