Default 2015 redesign and the diesel engine

Hello everyone, just checking how many are waiting for the 2015 re-design and how many are ordering the 2014 anyway.

I did not know about the redesign until yesterday, after I have already put a deposit on my order. One part of my brain wanted to cancel the order while the other part said to stay put. I think I am going to stay put because if I do change my mind, then it will be an endless wait (how about the new one coming in 2017, etc).

From the few pictures that I have seen, it looks like the re-design affects the front and back bumpers and some of the lights. They are not a big factor that changes my view. The only one that might is the rumor that the diesel engine may have 300hp (and then the rumor says that this diesel may come a year after the redesign).

Oh, one of the rumors was that the lane departure warning option may come with the redesign. That is not true. The 2014 built sheet now includes lane departure warning.

Anyway, just something in my mind. I am pretty sure I am not cancelling my 2014 order.

I could care less about the aesthetics f the redesign. However if a 300 HP diesel shows up, ima gonna cry.

I will be happy with my 2014. I ordered it just the way I wanted, but will cry a few tears if the V8D comes our way. But not for long!

Think I'm going to go with a 2015. Would be great to get a bigger diesel. I also read 300hp on the diesel. Still short of the 420hp diesel in Europe.

Why wait? Buy a diesel now and throw a tuner box on it. I bet the cost of the box will still be less than the base price of the diesel increase by the time the 15 is available.

I doubt we see the CDS until the 958 is replaced at the earliest.

I find it really sad that this (if true) would be a cause of celebration in my opinion.

Hopefully if they bring a dipstick for the Diesel it's compatible with the current Diesel since it already has the tube.

Well that would certainly get the air vs water guys to find some common ground

I did not know that the water vs air thing was still raging on. When was the last air engine? 1996?

After reading your comments, I am comfortable with my decision. Maybe a tuner box later...and maybe change the front bumper area with an aftermarket or the turbo. But first, have to get the CD first. Dealer still has not given me a definite slot yet. Looks like July production for August/September delivery.
