Default Audio question 2004

H - I just picked up my first Cayenne - 04 S with air suspension, PCM, a bunch of other options. 70 k mile and in mint condition.
I guess I have to take back all my less than positive comments about SUV's!

My question is about the PCM / Bose system. I did a lot of searching and I am still confused - I have the PCM system and my speakers have Bose written on them along with the subwoofer in the spare tire area and the small speakers in the rear pillars. But when I go into the 'sound' screen the adjustments for the Bose system are not there, just the usual bass, treble, balance, fader, loudness and dynamic selections.
The software is 3 & 3.
What am I missing here? The manual refers to GAL which is not shown -dynamic seems to be the same thing except no adjustments.

I checked all the posts and I didn't get any closer.....help!

I'll have to check my '04 with Bose and see what I've got. What you describe sounds normal to me, but I haven't looked at it for a while.

My '03 with Bose has the same settings you've mentioned - nothing else that I've found.

i dont believe there is any pcm software that is special to bose... it just has bose amp, sub, and speaker hardware being driven by the boilerplate PCM. What were you hoping to find settings for.. like a full EQ?

The manual that came with the Cayenne shows a more detailed settings under the 'sound' screen. Something called 'audio pilot' (or similar) and a more detailed noise reduction setting. It also mentions the surround sound settings - I can't see any of those on my 'sound' screen.

Found the surround settings.....by chance!
If you are on the sound page and you press the set up button you get to the surround position screen. Nothing about this in The manual!
