really good info Stefan! thank you very much!!!

we were hit by a snowstorm and the bottom of my p!g was covered in salt / snow / gravel combo that was dripping everywhere so I'll take a peak when I go get it. I was supposed to go pick it up tomorrow, but the snow got even worse and the wind is at 25m/s and blows trucks off the freeway, I just rather stay home with my 2004 cabernet ;-)

Srupp,

What do you think about the stuff scrollproducts said about the shaft piston ring seat? It seemed like he was saying 550-600 is the ceiling.

Peter,
Winter has come back also here in Bavaria yesterday. Have Fun with the Cabernet - i go skiing Tomorrow to take advantage of this :-)).

Concerning the piston Ring Seat i think that scrollproducts Experience speak for itself and this might Be true to a certain extend.
My car has a Little more than 70k Miles is mapped Since 5 k Miles and is Not Making any Funny noises in the Area of the Engine where the turbos are sitting. Boost Build up is also very Quick and consistent.
Wear is normal, the question is when does it get dangerous and the Turbos are Spitting their internals in the intake.
When Seaking for more Power and torque and getting an overhaul of the Turbos in Addition this is a Fine Thing anyway.
I still doubt that the Engine in its original trim cannot handle 700 hp and 900 nm, given that there are cayennes out there performing flawlessly on this Level.
Still sticking to my Goal :-)).
Common Knowledge Till Today was, that the org. Turbos are maxing out at around 600 hp and any more Power Beyond this requires an update.
I will go onto the dyno maybe Next Week to Know where i am Standing with my mods.
Cheers Stefan

Stefan, I've got a couple of friends with gemballa and techart cayennes producing anywhere from 680 - 850hp. AFAIK, the crankshaft was not replaced in any of them, they just replaced turbos, ICs, IC piping and ECU. one of the guys with GT850 gemballa drives like a maniac and did not have any issues w/ the engine.

btw, it was pure mayhem here yesterday, I'm so glad I stayed home...

this is a freeway, shot by a friend of mine, 20km took 5,5hrs. he told me he saw a big snowplow being blown off the road...

I have had good luck with Scroll products rebuilding my Audi RS6 (KKK) Turbos. Never heard of crankshaft problems with the 4.5l motor though.

got my car back and I'm a little dissapointed. I mean the car runs great, it definitely has more power than before, but ... I WANT MORE!!!

baseline was 552ps this time (I dunno how did the exhaust guy get 583ps) and after a custom remap, I'm up at 590ps@5400rpm, the torque is 851,1nm (627,6 lbft)@2795rpm. I'll scan the dyno results.

the chiptuning guy said it would go up to 610ish, but he did not consider it safe. I will be definitely doing the turbos soon - the main reason I'm not getting top end power is because the turbos are at their limit.

Stefan - I did not manage to take a look at the turbos, sorry. I'll try to take a look over the weekend.

hi Stefan, the company that did it is called MM racing ( http://www.mmracing.sk/sk/technologia-upravy/ ). they have a MAHA 4x4 dyno and are based in Bratislava, Slovakia (70kms from Wien). They are a part of "motorcity" - a cooperation other various companies that mod & repair cars, i.e. http://www.maxmotorsport.sk/ - they build racing cars and do other crazy mods (they even have a German mutiation of their website as I see ).
I'll have to get my other car into shape after the winter and I'll do the turbos on the p!g right after. will see what it brings...
