Default Driving in Sport at Low setting. Harmful?

Read a Car and Driver article reviewing the Turbo from 05, and they were driving it in Low suspension height and Sport suspension setting. So, today I tried it myself and its pretty friggin nice and cornering was a breeze. Body roll was way less. It just felt way more nimble.

My only question is, am I harming the vehicle or did the engineers intend for us to drop it down for improved handling?

YES! Why didn't I think of this sooner? I love it.

I usually drive mine on low/normal. I find sport to be too harsh.

Yay! This is good news. My dying starter on the other hand, not so good. Making me get a Turbo S itch or just a newer pig. I'm at 115k. Pipes replaced at 65k. The squeal is unnerving.

Advice I received was there could be wear issues on the tyres due to camber.

Camber is adjusted at the normal suspension height.

If your riding away from the normal setting for extended period, your tyres are operating at the less than optimal camber setting, which may result in uneven wear on the tyres.

Recommend adjusting the camber at the low height setting to avoid the issue.

Hmmmm...seems like a plausible explanation for excessive tire wear on the inside of the tires if that's what you mean by "uneven wear". However, I would caution against resetting camber to optimize at the low setting since that could result in extremely poor camber and unsafe handlling at normal or high settings. There is probably a reason that Porsche chose to have the suspension automatiically go into the low mode at speeds over 75mph...just sayin'

Mine is in normal height but sports mode, is it as simple as dropping it 1 position to achieve the lower driving position and it will stay that way all of the time unless i put it back to normal again?

Not sure i will since i have concerns about how low my CTT seems anyway, but its worth knowing, and i didnt know.

If you drop it down to the lower position from the Normal position and it stays there until you raise it. In the Normal position it will drop down two levels automatically. The the first "Low Level"is around 78mph for a certain amount of time and the next is "Special Low" which lower under very high speed, I think around 130mph but someone may pipe in. I'm just too lazy to go get the manual from the shop.

So normal suspension setting but one position lower height is better than normal height and sports suspension setting and has no adverse affect on the suspension setting, other than possibly wear on tyres?
