Mobil 1 0W 40 CHEAP for Black Friday

ECF spec sheet does too, but specifies it's not for vehicles with DPF. That excludes the Cayenne diesel, which requires C30 spec oil. No mention is made of high mileage.
If I was given to speculate, I'd say put ECF in your late model gasoline Porsche, until 75,000 miles. Then switch to New Life, but don't use either in a DPF-equipped diesel

I believe the "New Life" formula is the same as our "European Car" formula, just for the European markets (it's only available in liter quantities, not by the quart).

In post #9 you said:
Greg,
I'm confused. Advance sold me the European Car Formula that sez right on the back that it's Porsche A40 compliant. Then you said the ECF is A40 compliant. But that doesn't jive with what you said in post #9..

Apples and oranges. This started out about Advance Auto Parts. I said they don't sell any A40 or C30 compliant engine oils. That's still true. I was just at an APP service counter a couple days ago, even their warehouse doesn't stock A40 or C30 from any source. Then the topic moved on to ECF versus New Life. I said they meet A40 but not C30 spec - and - that Advance doesn't stock either one. Nor have I ever seen A40 or C30 on their website. That said, I don't have a clue how you came away with an A40/ECF from AAP

Mine that I bought from Advanced is the ECF and its approved A40. What I am missing here? How does Advanced not sell A40 approved? Sorry I am slow, but my 996TT is pretty fast.

And you might want to look at: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...926%7CL2*15035

If I was an Advance Auto store manager, I'd special order. And being a Porsche owner, the engine oil stock would include A40 and C30 spec. I suspect that's what you two guys found. But Advance Auto as a corporation, does not stock A40 and C30 oils in either their retail stores or their warehouses. I can't say that I've been in every Advance store nationwide, but you're not gonna find that stuff in this region. If you want more proof, try to find either on their website. Ain't gonna happen.

FWIW, you can buy the same oil @ Walmart for $6.47 qt for whenever you can't get it on sale.
grohgreg, i'm sorry but you've lost us. AAP carries ECF/A40 in-store and online as pointed out by "deilenberger" and so does Walmart as stated above.

I just checked the quarts that I purchased at AAP here in Florida and it does say "Porsche A40" on the back just like the post above. Who would have thought that oil would cause so much passion. Happy oil change.

That particular ECF may or may not be appropriate for your 2006 model, I don't know. But I do know that it was not appropriate for my 2006 E-class, which - as I said - requires 229.51. Yours is the 4.5 liter, right? Well, time marches on - and oil requirements change. Specify your vehicle as any 2011+ Porsche Cayenne (or the 2013 diesel) to the AAP search engine, then ask for engine oil, for 0W40, or A40, or 5W30 or C30. In every case the results will say "Exact Match - 0". I get the same verbal
response when asking for it at a retail store.

AAP just haven't updated their online site to match their new stock.
I wouldn't mind if walmart would carry the 5QT jugs but only if the price is less than $32 otherwise there's no savings.
