Default iPod Touch 5th generation and 2012 Cayenne S

Picked up a new 64gb 5th generation iPod Touch today and when I tried to use it with my vehicle it did not work. I selected iPod but it immediately started playing a random song from my device and would not let me select a playlist or change songs. My device would not allow it either. It was charging my iPod. Kinda worries me as this is using the new digital USB cable that came with the Touch.

Anyone else try and get it to work?

Hmmm. I have not tried my iPhone 5 but will today and see what happens. Thanks for the reply!

Take care with "Sandy" today! This is a crazy storm!

Good to hear the iPhone 5 is compatible.
Am about to switch over to the 5.

Curious, why wouldn't it be compatible?

P.S. Thanks, GG.

The mObridge doesn't like the 5th gen (I think) Ipod either. All kinds of weird issues. Posted about it in the last mObridge thread. I went back to an older 2nd gen one I had.

Was merely saying there must be diffs between the Ipods, stands to reason other devices wouldn't be fully compatible either. What the diffs are I have no idea.
