Default Coils and Spark Plugs

Hey everyone. I have a 2004 Cayenne S with 66K miles and got the misfire codes = cracked coils. So i followed the instructions and got them changed. Also changed the spark plugs. (lost a triple square in the process by dropping and it is now lost forever!)....

But I wanted to let everyone know that you get the parts really cheap right now.

I got the 8 Bosch plugs (7418), the 8 Coils (Beru Brand), and 2 new wiper blades for a total of 245.62 dollars shipped!!!!

Advance Auto has a coupon code for 40 off 100 (use code FABU)! Separate out your orders (each to atleast 100) to use the coupon code.

1st Order - 4 Coils @ 28.99 each = 115.96 - 40(coupon) + 4.94 (tax) = 80.90

2nd Order - 4 Coils @ 28.99 each = 115.96 - 40(coupon) + 4.94 (tax) = 80.90

3rd Order - 8 spark plugs @ 10.09 each + 2 wiper blades @ 18.99 - 40 (coupon) + 5.12 (tax) = 83.82

All shipped for Free!

I got the Check engine light on Mon, Ordered the parts on Tues, got them shipped to my house on Thurs. Installed them last night and all is well with the Pig.

Are those the latest coil revision? I remember reading somewhere that there is a P/N where they have been revised for premature failure due to excessive heat.

A hell of a deal. Wonder how the Porsche (Beru) coils compare to the OEM Beru?
The latest Porsche P/N is -09 but don't know if there is a Beru Rev. number on them. I can check my old coils though (-06).

For the latest coils from the Porsche dealer I purchased, 948 602 104 09 the Beru part # on them is 0 040 102 002. Anyone have a set of older coils they can cross check this against? Mine in the Pig are 05 revision coils I'm going to swap out soon.

I don't think the coils at advance are Beru brand.

Looks like BWD/Intermotor

Hey, they are listed as BWD/Intermotor on the website. But when I got them they are Beru. Parts are made in Germany. They have a big green Beru on the side of them. I should have taken a picture but did not.

Oh and per the website, Advance offers lifetime warranty on them. Not sure how that works.
