Nokian WRG2 are very good tires, but in my experience they are nosy and get even nosier with more miles put on them.

DWS = dry/wet/snow.

And I got them installed for just about $1,000 from a local tire shop... with lifetime rotation and balancing. Plus they have a wear and road-hazard warranty.

Nice tire. Rides well, handles well, quiet.

What 19" tire is best for dry central california? Qualities important to me are
- ride comfort
-quiet
- longevity, good mileage

Unfortunately need to move to A/S if you value long lasting mileage!

I am too although not N rated. I am still working with the manager on that, since I thought I was buying the N-rated. I am happy with them regardless. The Cayenne still handles the same, in my opinion. When all the rebates came back I ended up out of pocket about 850 installed and with warranty on all 4 when Discount Tires/Pirelli was running their promo.

I have 21" GTS wheels on my 955 TTS. Ready for a new set of tires. Suggestions?

Northern VA? Do you value all-year driving? If so the Conti DWS-06's are really good. For ultimate performance - dunno - they get a bit expensive in 21"..

That was going to be my question too: winter, summer, or all-weather? Regardless, I suggest you use the Tire Rack web site to identify Porsche-spec tires (N0, N1). Choose from that selection, then shop around for the best installed price. Some of them have rebates too.

You know you all raise a good point. Maybe I should pick up a set up cheap stock 19" rims with tires for the winter and put performance tires on the GTS rims in the spring.

That's what I did. Got Tire Rack to mount and ship 4 Michelin Ice & Snow on 4 alloys that were on clearance. Come spring, I'll mount 4 new Porsche-spec tires on the OE alloys.

50,000 mile tire, I'll probably just go this route. that's 6 years of miles for me. Thanks.
