Mine was doing the same thing, cleaned contacts several times, no change. Read in another thread that old light bulbs can cause this problem so I ordered new D1S (?) bulbs, finally installed them the other day, have only turned the headlights on a few times and no errors. It had been happening almost every time so I'm hopeful, just not ready to say it's fixed yet.

Update: New bulbs did NOT fix the problem. I'll be replacing the leveling sensors as soon as I figure out which ones to replace.

Why not get the vehicle to a shop with a PIWIS? There will be a DTC stored for the suspect part/system.

Will the Durametric read this? I'll have to check.

How many sensors are there on a '06 S w/ Xenon lights? At one time I think I read there were 2, 1 front and 1 rear but when I called a dealer he indicated there were 4, which is true?

After changing both bulbs (real Sylvania from Amazon at about $95/pair) no problems at all.
My 2 cents.
I did this and it fixed it. Did some research and found that this type of bulb can change voltage greatly as it ages, yet still light up fine. The voltage change also caused the ballasts to turn the bulb off and on. Found this out after numerous headlight connection checks, which were a big waste of time in my case. Even though the old bulbs worked, new bulbs fixed everything. Ordered same as above.
