Default Cayenne S 2006, Rear Air

I brought a 2006 Cayenne S and absolutely no air blows through the rear vents even when I close the front vents. My dealer tells me that the car was manufactured that way. I feel that I am being told wrong information. Why would there be 4 rear vents with no intention of blowing air through them.

Is this true, that the Cayenne S 2006 model was built not to blow air through the rear vests?

Thank you,
Frustrated as Can Be

They are 100% worthless. (Unless you have 4zone air)

99% worthless. if you turn the front down to maybe 1/4-blast, and turn off the dash/speaker thingy, then a small puff of cool air will waft its way through to the back.

Interesting, mine blows air out the rear center vents just fine (and it's not the 4 zone system.) In doing some wiring installation, the ductwork to the rear vents runs through the console.. and it's made of a foam composite, which could be easily compressed and blocking off the airflow. That's what I'd look at first.. I believe the foot level vents use the same sort of ducting..

Yep, known issue. The foot vents tend to kick out more than the centers, which still isn't much.
