When my kids were under 3, we used something like the following:

It caught a lot of the spills; the seats would have been destroyed without it.

Yeah we have something like that for him, but I know the dog hair will get under that (sometimes I hate my dogs 
).
I'm more thinking of full seat covers. Even for up front.

Touareg doesn't offer ventilated seats, so I installed black sheepskin inserts. Not covers, just inserts. They only cover the perforated areas.Traded the Touareg for the Cayenne, and saw no reason to give them to the dealer. So they're available if you're interested.
