If it's for an S (not clear since it starts out as a base Cayenne Tiptronic).. price seems fair. I don't see the PCM/GPS/Bose audio, which add some value. Of course that gives you an opportunity to upgrade the existing audio without having to deal with the MOST fiber system.

Since it has no warranty, you want to set aside $3,000 or so to address any issues it might have (like the engine coolant pipes.) I'd also suggest a PPI by a good Cayenne independent or a dealership.. the cost will be trivial to what it might save you.

Reading the threads on common problems might also be useful..

Thanks, talked to the owner and it does not have the GPS/BOSE/PCM
I will get a PPI done this week and see what happens, also he installed new rotors and pads @ 50k miles

Also have you asked the seller if they have had the coolant pipes replaced?

If so ask if the vehicle stopped because of burst pipes or was it preventive. could have caused engine damage so when you get the ppi completed get cylinders tested for comp.

There is a good thread as to how to check if it was done with a mirror and flashlight, just search "coolant pipes" and you should get enough reading to keep you occupied for a few hours : ) .

I will honestly say that I've seen fewer problems with Turbos. If you are looking at 955s, newer is going to be better, so 2006 would be ideal, though nothing really changed between '05 and '06 except for the addition of the Turbo S model. 2003-2004 models had lots of minor problems that were corrected with updates along the way. At this point most of those will likely be taken care of already, so I wouldn't avoid those all together (provided the vehicle has been maintained and passes a PPI).

You won't regret it. If you find one in my area, I'll be happy to inspect it for you.

Pretty much my P!g except I've got PCM/NAV and 5k more miles. Sad to think I could only get $22 - 24K for it retail. Scared to think what they would offer me wholesale.
