:: ECS Tuning :: Cayenne (03-06) V8 Coolant Pipe Repair Kit
Porsche recognized that the early Cayenne V8 suffered a design flaw in the plastic coolant pipes. The plastic became brittle with prolonged exposure to the heat of an engine bay, and will inevitably fail. Seeing their failure, Porsche developed a redesigned coolant pipe, crafted in aluminum. The new design replaces the plastic version with Aluminum to prevent leaks, cracks, or other failures, and withstand the test of time. ECS Tuning brings you this comprehensive 21 piece repair kit to ensure you won't be left on the side of the road. The kit includes everything needed for a smooth installation and peace of mind.
It is common knowledge among 955 Cayenne S, and Turbo owners, that the factory installed coolant pipes will eventually fail. This is not a matter of if it will happen, it is a matter of when it will happen. Save yourself the frustration of failure, and replace your pipes proactively. Considering the parts that are involved in this task they would pretty much have to be OE parts. I don't think anybody else is making the coolant tubes or the rear bracket. Just not enough demand for aftermarket to get involved.

Every part comes to us directly from Porsche, and everything is delivered to the consumer in OEM Porsche packaging. While Porsche took the time to engineer the parts, we took the time to assemble the kit, and provide you with step-by-step easy-to-follow instructions. Nobody else offers a more comprehensive kit at ANY price.

I think you mean OE (also called Genuine) packaging.

There are copies of the alloy cooling parts out there now. They have the Porsche part numbers on them and the triangle logo. They are not OEM. They are fake. The quality of the end connections are not as good as the Genuine Porsche ones.

Just a quick comment from the cheap seats...
It is usually recommended to also replace the plastic "T" on Turbo models when replacing the cracked coolant pipes.
I didn't see it in the picture at the top of this thread...might be worth also offering...

Curious how you found out about these knockoffs?

We do not currently offer the plastic T in the kit, for the fact that the part is limited to Turbo models. Additionally, while it is not uncommon for them to be broken, there is a possibility that they will not be broken, and I did not want to raise the price of the kit due to a "maybe". We do, however, offer it separately.

In the UK we use the term OEM as Original Equipment supplier, not as you seem to use it to mean Genuine Porsche parts
