Post third row option for cayenne and tax write off?

has anyone heard if there will at some time be a third row option for cayenne? local dealer told me they heard there might be. have a family of six and such an option would allow the cayenne to be in the running. currently on the wait list for xc90. also, just curious how many on the forum are using the tax write off for suv's (currently 25,000 in addition to percent depreciation). heard Bush is trying to increase this figure to 75,000. good site to read more about is autospies.com. thanks for any feedback. RJK,

For a vehicle to qualify for the great tax write-off you mention that vehicle must have a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 6,000 LBS. or more.

Anyone out there know what the VW Touraeg's GVWR w/ the V-8 will be?

thanks,
Rick

RJK, I will be taking advantage of the tax break, I haven't heard anything about a 3rd row of seats, honestly I don't see how they could fit.

Third row seating will never become available in the Cayenne. There just isn't enough room to do it properly.

I've never liked third row seating. People say they like third row becuase they can put kids back there. That makes sense. Let's all put our kids inside the rear crush zone of a vehicle. Yeah, that'll be safe.

I will be using the tax benefit on the Cayenne just as I have on my previous 5 Landrovers. FYI, the use of the 179 deduction has been the trigger to three tax audits, the last one took six months but in the end the deduction has always survived.

02X50 -What use percentage did you claim on your 179? 3 audits by using a legal deduction sucks.

Since you can use 179 for any equipment it made sense for us to use some of the deduction for that instead of all of it on the truck.

Usually just under 90%. I have four cars so business usage is pretty accurate. I think I'm just one of those lucky people that gets audited all the time, and I expect they will continue to do so until they find something. BTW, I want to thank all you tax payers for helping to support my last audit...it took the IRS almost 6 months from the initial interview until they closed it out. They looked at everything, from bank deposits to credit card receipts to all my calendar entries..it was fun! When they finished they did find an under payment of $10.00 which they made a big point about forgiving because the audit took so long.

I've heard 75% is the magic number. Anything above that is one of the IRS "red flags.
