Default Clear side marker lights OEM or not!

I have clear side marker lights on the front of my 955 CTT and hate them. I have been told that they are OEM and also been told they are aftermarket. So what are they? If they are stock then I'll keep them if they are aftermarket then they are gone.

Uh, maybe post a picture of them?

I have the clear factory ones.

Both are available from Porsche, but if yours is a US vehicle, it should have come with amber lenses originally.

Yes it's a US Cayenne.

Not a great close up but the lights in question.

So, you'll like them if they are OEM, but hate them if they are aftermarket? I don't get it.

Possibly won't change them to take away the "original" nature of the vehicle, but doesn't really like them?

Yep. I want the car to be original. If the clears make it so then I can live with it. But I do still hate the way they look. I think it looks like its trying to hard to be Euro or boy racer. Just not me.

If your question is, are they stock, the answer is no for a U.S. car as the amber lenses are required here. People change to the factory Euro clear lenses (often with amber bulbs) because they prefer that look. Apparently you don't.

The OEM/aftermarket question is different. The clear lenses are usually Porsche factory parts, even if they aren't standard here. Your clear lenses should have the stylized P logo in the upside down triangle, as shown in the pic of the amber side marker lights below. If not, who knows where they came from.

Just change them out. Plenty of people go for the clears, and you can probably get the pumpkins if you just pay shipping.

However, I think the clears look great on your P!g and I wouldn't change it. But that's just me.

yeah me too. The first thing I did when I got my 958 was swap out the orange with clear. This is the only place that has orange color on the whole car, and it sticks out like a sore thumb. It has nothing to do with trying to be Euro, but simple color coordination.

The first and only exterior mod I did to my PiG was the clear side markers.

I have a pair of the oem amber ones. I'll trade you for your clear one. Let me know.
