Default TPMS Question

I just mounted my 22" summer wheels and tires from my 2006 Cayenne Turbo S on my 2011 Cayenne Turbo. TPMS System does not want to reset. Does anyone know if the sending units in the wheels have changed since 2006.
Thank You!

Here is an old thread with conflicting info. Have you gone into the menu and reset there?

I believe the sending units on the newer vehicles are different frequency.

Can I turn the TPMS off until I can get new transmiters? Now everytime I start the car I get the warning lights and one of them stays on all the time.

You can turn the system off in settings so that you do not get the "!" on the dash. The display will only show "No monitoring System" on start up. Just go into the the tire pressure settings and turn it off, very easy. I currently have my system turned off as I have one bad sensor that causes an error. Sensors are expensive so I have not yet replaced them.

I'll have to look again to see where to turn it off. I think the '06 was differnet than the '11. I did not see a place to turn it off. Will try again tonight.
Thanks!

From 08 the option does not appear, you have to get it coded off by the dealer or do what i did, curse every time I started up with my old (wrong frequency) snow shoes on.
