Default New Rubber - Zowie!

Had Continental DWS Extreme Contacts put on today (275/45-19) - the difference in ride quality is amazing. What used to be annoying can no longer be felt, the stuff I used to slow down for can, but it's still below the annoyance level. Grip seems as good as the 75% worn Michelin Latitudes that were my former summer tires, and better then the almost new Pirelli Scorpions that were my ice/snow tires.

If the mileage gets anywhere near what is claimed they are sure fire winners... (540 treadwear number.. and a 50,000 mile mileage warranty - prorated I'm sure, but even so..)

Good stuff - glad a few people here recommended them.. was also one of the less expensive tires in that size.

Oh yes, the mileage is near what is claimed. I have 275/40/20 and 315/35/20 on the 4.8is and it's not getting thinner as fast as the OEM Michelins. The rears are slightly thinner than my fronts at 7/10 vs the fronts at 8/10 since 03/2011, about 13k miles later.

I can't wait to slap these on to the CTT!

As a side note: I also switched to Continental GP4000s on my road bike and I could immediately tell the difference in ride smoothness, quietness, and conformity on corners.

I liked Continental before but... if they start producing these quality tires without the need for fancy marketing, I'm a believer.

I also have the DWS on my S as well as the Conti 4000s on all my road bikes! All of them ride excellent and wear well. Good Choice.
